MiniMax Hailuo 3 is available in Snap AI Studio. It is MiniMax's 2K video model with audio, and it runs on the same credit balance as every other model in the app, so you can try it on a prompt and compare it with Veo, Kling or Seedance without another subscription.

What it is

Hailuo 3 renders video at 2K, the highest resolution of the video models in the app, and generates audio with it. MiniMax also built it for first and last frame control; in Snap AI Studio you can give it a start frame today.

What it is good for:

  • High-resolution hero clips. Pick it when a clip will be shown large, such as a landing page header or a product reveal.
  • Clips with sound. Audio comes with the video, so there is no separate step for ambience.
  • Any shape. It makes 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3 or 3:4, so the same idea can be made for a website, a reel or a feed post.

Where it runs in the app

  • Text to Video lists MiniMax Hailuo 3 in the model menu. The tool defaults to Veo 3.1 Fast, so switch the model before you generate.
  • The studio lists it in Text to video mode and, with a start frame, in Image to video mode.

The photo animation tools (AI Kiss Video Generator, AI Hug Generator, Image to Video, Animate Old Photos, AI Dance Video and Real Estate Video) keep the earlier Hailuo 2.3 in their menus.

Hailuo 2.3 stays in the app. It is physics-aware at 1080p and strong on action and body movement, but it only makes 16:9 clips of 6 or 10 seconds.

Settings

Hailuo 3 makes 5 or 10 second clips. The start frame is optional: leave it empty to generate from text, or upload an image to use as the first frame. Video is priced per second, so the Generate button shows the price for the length you pick before anything is spent.

A practical order for a new idea: draft it on a cheaper model such as Veo 3.1 Lite or Seedance 2.0 Fast, then rerun the prompt that works on Hailuo 3 for the high-resolution version.

Known limits

  • Start frame only. Last frame input is not in the studio yet.
  • Refunds. Failed generations are refunded automatically. Requests the model's safety filter rejects are refunded up to a daily limit, as the content policy explains.
