Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your card number, so fixing a payment always happens on Stripe's pages.

Declined at checkout

If your card is declined on the Stripe checkout page, nothing is bought: no subscription starts and no credits are added. You can try another card on the same page, or go back to the pricing page and start again.

A renewal fails

Credits for a subscription are added when Stripe marks the invoice for that period as paid. If a renewal payment fails:

  • no credits are added for the new period yet,
  • your account is treated as the free plan while the subscription is unpaid, so the hourly limit on generations applies,
  • the credits already in your balance stay, and you can keep using them.

When the invoice is paid, the plan's credits are added and your plan is active again. Your account page shows the subscription status under Plan.

If the subscription ends without being paid, your account stays on the free plan with its balance.

How to fix it

  1. Open your account page and select Invoices and billing.

  2. In the Stripe billing portal, update your payment method.

  3. Check the invoice list for an unpaid invoice and pay it if the portal offers that.

Common reasons for a decline are an expired card, a card that does not allow online or international payments, or a bank fraud check. Your bank can tell you the exact reason.

Credits did not arrive after paying

The account page says "Payment received. Credits appear as soon as Stripe confirms it, usually within seconds." Reload the account page after a minute. If the credits are still missing, contact us with the date and amount of the charge.

Note

If you want to stop the subscription rather than fix the payment, cancel it in the same portal. See Cancel your subscription.
