Updated Sep 28, 2026
- Aspect ratio
- The shape of the output, written as width to height, such as 1:1 for square or 9:16 for vertical video.
- Billing portal
- The Stripe page, opened from Invoices and billing on your account page, where you change plan, cancel, update your card and download invoices. Learn more
- Bring your own key
- Saving your own OpenRouter or fal API key on your account page, so jobs on that gateway bill your key instead of your credits. Learn more
- Commercial use
- Using a result for business, such as in ads or products. Allowed for results created on a paid plan or after buying credits. Learn more
- Compose step
- The first step of two-photo video tools such as kiss and hug videos: an image model puts both people in one frame before the video model animates it. Learn more
- Credit history
- The list on your account page of recent credit movements (signup credits, subscription and top-up credits, generations and refunds), each with the balance after it. Learn more
- Credits
- The single unit used to pay for generations. One balance works for every model and tool. Learn more
- First month offer
- A discount on the first month of Premium billed monthly, applied at checkout for accounts that have never had a subscription. Learn more
- Free plan
- The plan every account starts on and returns to after cancelling. It keeps your balance but limits how many generations you can start per hour. Learn more
- Gallery
- The public page of results that people chose to share. Anything there can be reported. Learn more
- Gateway
- The service that passes your request to an AI model and returns the result. Snap AI Studio uses OpenRouter and fal. Learn more
- Generation pause
- A temporary stop on new generations after too many blocked requests in 24 hours. It ends on its own. Learn more
- Image to video
- Animating a still photo into a short video clip. The photo becomes the first frame.
- Lip sync
- Making the person in a video move their mouth to match a voice track.
- Model
- The AI system that makes the image, video or audio, such as Nano Banana, Kling or Veo. Each model has its own credit price. Learn more
- Prompt check
- Our check that runs on every prompt before a generation starts and before credits are taken, and blocks requests the content rules do not allow. Learn more
- Prompt sent to the model
- The full prompt a tool builds from the fields you fill in. Open it under the settings on any tool page. Learn more
- Refund
- Credits returned to your balance automatically when a generation fails.
- Safety filter
- The model provider's own check on prompts, photos and results. A rejection shows as "Blocked by the safety filter". Learn more
- Studio
- The general workspace where you pick any mode and model yourself. Learn more
- Style
- A preset look, such as watercolor or anime, added to your prompt or photo. Learn more
- Text to video
- Making a video from a written prompt alone.
- Tool
- A page set up for one job, such as headshots or kiss videos, with the model and prompt already chosen. Learn more
- Top-up
- A one-off purchase of extra credits without changing your plan. Learn more
- Upscale
- Increasing the resolution of an image so it looks sharper at larger sizes.
- Video effect
- A preset that animates a photo in a specific way, such as a 360 rotation or a zoom out. Learn more
