Both run on the same models and the same credit balance. The difference is how much is decided for you.

Tools

A tool is a page for one job: a headshot, a photoshoot, a kiss video, a background removal. Each tool has:

  • a fixed mode, such as photo editing or image to video,
  • a default model, and often a short list of other models that suit the job,
  • a prompt written for the job, filled in from simple fields such as backdrop, outfit or setting,
  • the right upload box, for example one to several photos of the same person.

Open Prompt sent to the model to read the full prompt your fields produce. Our content check reads that full prompt too.

Some video tools, such as kiss and hug videos, take either one photo of both people or two separate photos. With two, the tool first combines them into one frame with an image model, then animates that frame. Both steps are charged when you press Generate, both are refunded if either fails, and the button shows the total.

Browse them all on the tools page. Video effects and styles work the same way.

Studio

The studio is the open workspace. You choose:

  • the mode: create image, edit photo, upscale, remove background, text to video, image to video, lip sync, text to speech or music,
  • any model that supports that mode,
  • your own prompt, aspect ratio, video length and, on models that allow it, the number of images.

The studio also lists your recent generations. Each model page has its own generator locked to that model, which is a quick way to try one model on its own.

Which to use

  • Use a tool when it matches what you want. It is the fastest way to a good result, especially from a photo of a person.
  • Use the studio when no tool fits, when you want to write the prompt yourself, or when you want to compare models on the same prompt.

A good workflow: start with a tool, open "Prompt sent to the model", then copy it into the studio and change it.
